Timber Harvest

BMP’s are required when timbering an area greater than 5,000 square feet.

Erosion and sedimentation best management practices are required to be implemented on all timber harvest projects. Timber harvest projects that involve greater than 5,000 square feet of earth disturbance require an erosion and sedimentation plan. Disturbance associated with timber harvests includes the construction of skid trails, haul roads, and log landing zones. Disturbance greater than 25 acres requires an Erosion and Sedimentation Permit to be obtained.
