Is a fungus the key to controlling Tree of Heaven?

Ailanthus Altissima, commonly known as Tree-of-Heaven is often host to the spotted lanternfly. An invasive species from Asia, TOH is difficult to control due to its aggressive propagation methods.

Verticillium nonalfalfae is a fungus that has been found to naturally kill Tree of Heaven. While it is still undergoing testing, this fungus may be a bio-pesticide that offers minimal non-target effects.
